Handcrafted Lampwork Beads and
Original Jewelry Designs

Materials List for Classes

If you have the tools required for your class, great!! Bring 'em. If you do not yet have tools, I don't suggest purchasing them before coming to class. Just come to class, see if you like what you've learned, then evaluate your need for tools. During the classes, we are generally able to share tools. After class, if you are interested in continuing your jewelry making, you will want some acceptable-quality tools. I do not suggest purchasing tools at the local 'craft' stores, as these are generally not for bead making; although they are labeled and sold as such. However, the local bead stores do have acceptable-quality tools for prices comparable to my own. (The actual color of tools and prices listed below are subject to change.)

Tools Required for Byzantine Rose Class

Generally if you are interested in this class, you already have some jewelry making experience and therefore own your own tools. However, for chain making, two pairs of chain nose pliers, either regular or bent nose, are required. I prefer to work with one of each. I have both bent chain nose and regular chain nose pliers available for purchase after class.

Tools Required for Wire Bangle Class

I request that people taking this class already have a bit of experience in jewelry making or wire work and therefore would already have some of these tools. If not, we generally share tools during the class. But, if you become interested in continuing to make bangles, I would suggest a quality pair of cutters with the ability to cut heavy gauge sterling wire (up to 12 ga). I have some of the other hand tools available, but would need to order special cutters and some of the other items on an as needed basis.

Tools Required for Silver Bali Bracelet Class

Since this is a beginning bead stringing class, I don't expect anyone to bring tools with them and I definitely don't want students to purchase tools just to come to this class. We'll share tools during class and if anyone is interested in purchasing tools after class, I will have some available or the local bead stores also have these tools available.
